Like any sun savy parent i always make sure that my kids are protected in the sun. So whilst the weather has been a bit hit and miss, my search for a great sunscreen has been spot on.
Take a look at this little trio that landed on my doorstep a few weeks ago:
First of all Rocco was delighted that for once a parcel had arrived especially for him instead of girls stuff as he likes to put it :)
The Badger toy was a lovely surprise and really makes kids see Suncare as something fun which can only be a good thing.
Badger SPF 30+ Sunscreen RRP £14.99 from www.lovelula.com
Badger SPF 30+ Sunscreen protects with uncoated, non-nano Zinc Oxide, a safer and more effective alternative to the harsh chemicals normally found in sunscreens today, making them perfect for young precious skins.
With calming extracts of Chamomile and Calendula, Badger SPF 30+ sunscreen contains a moisturising base of organic oils and beeswax to gently nourish and protect delicate skins. The product is both water and sweat resistant so perfect for holidays and little monkeys who are always on the go.
Badger SPF 30 Face Stick RRP £9.99 from www.lovelula.com
This unscented all season face stick contains all the goodness of the lotion but in a handy stick form. Ideal for fast touch ups and easy travel purposes. Great for targeting smaller areas like the nose, cheeks, ears etc.
Also a really useful protector from environmental harm such as wind, cold and water too.
What did we think?
First of all the packaging is great, easy to use, aimed at both the parent and child. Rocco loved these and immediately knew they were for him. Makes a nice contrast from the usual suntan cream plain packaging.
I felt really happy to use these on him knowing the product was safe and natural. The best bit was Rocco was really happy to wear these and anyone who has kids knows what a battle it can be sometimes if they don't want something.
The products had a slight smell which was quite pleasant and mild. The cream feels quite thick but absorbs easily into the skin. The face stick was a little more difficult to apply but i found that if i warmed it up in my hands it went on a lot easier.
Although these were sent for review purposes i love the fact that these are great for sensitive skins and would definitely repurchase.
As you can see Rocco has his hat on and the Badger Sunscreen and he looks pretty happy to me :)
It's never enough to stress the importance of good care in the sun especially kids' skin! Rocco is gorgeous! xxx
ReplyDeleteBeing one with the most sensitive of skins I found this review super helpful and I have to say the face stick is now tempting me....do you just apply and that;s it or do you have to work it in the skin a little?
ReplyDeleteThanks for this post Lovely

Hi hun, i found the best way to use the stick was to rub a little into the palms of my hands and then rub it onto the skin as the warmth from the hands makes it easier to apply. You do have to work it in a bit but not too much xx
ReplyDeleteOkie dokie! thanks for the tips :-)
ReplyDeleteRocco is adorable. :)
ReplyDeleteRocco is so cute! I've tried their sunscreen stick & I really did not like it.
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies, Vintage makeup, i think the stick feels different on the skin as it works in a different way to most of the other sunscreens i think its just a case of getting use to it.
