The best thing since sliced toast

What a brilliant morning,
This little post is not beauty related so i don't mind if you stop reading here, but just wanted to share my morning with you.
My average morning consists of getting up quick brush teeth, wash, get kids up.
Changing nappy, wash child, dress child, get breakfast for kids, milk, grab cereal bar and scoff quickly while getting ready. Then its cleaning up, computer, and general rushing about doing nothing but thinking I've 101 things to do.
Today i woke up feeling different. I got kids up, had quick wash put minimal makeup on got kids ready then thought whats the rush???????????
So instead of chores i sat. My 9 year old went of to school with his friends happily as i was all chilled out ( it seems to rub off)
Then me and my youngest son sat and watched cartoons while eating warm toast and butter and drinking orange juice layed on the rug.
The house is a mess, there, is washing strung around and plates in the sink but who cares.
I have loved my morning.
It's the little things we forget to appreciate sometimes and whats important.
Now it's nearly lunch time so i will put my little boy for a nap and get sorted. Heres a few photos of my morning xx

  2. Such a lovely post. I've been ill the last couple of days and I'm feeling all tired and emotional about the state the house is in and this just cheered me right up.

Your son is gorgeous, such a cutie!

  4. This was SUCH a lovely post! I really enjoyed reading this :) You;re so right, sometimes we forget about what's important and spend so much time worrying about everything and forget to take the time to enjoy life. Sounds like you had the perfect morning, and it also sounds like that'd be a routine that works better for you, cause while the little one is napping you can get sorted! He looks to very much be enjoying his toast too haha.

  6. Thanks everyone, it seems strange to write a post thats not beauty related but every now and then you need to put things into prespective dont you.
I am so lucky to have such lovely children, like most mums we become wrapped up in trying to be perfect.
Perfect mum, perfect wife, house keeper, and still have the time to look our best but really when it all comes down to it we all just need to wake up and smell the roses sometimes.
Now where did i put my lipstick ha ha xx
