Hello! Just a quick post to let you know how i got on with colouring my hair this week. I know i have mentioned it a few times to some of you on twitter that i fancied a bit of a change for a while now.
So after looking at a lot of different colours on the market i decided to go for the new John Freda precision Foam In Deep Cherry Brown.
Now my hair has quite a lot of dark brown permanent colour in it already so i was going to strip the colour out first to make it brighter but to be honest i couldn't be bothered so i thought i would just give it a go and hope that a little bit of red would manage to take to my hair.
I haven't included photos of preparation etc as to be honest the leaflet is simple to understand. All i will say is the foam makes it so much easier to apply. There were no drips at all and it smells lovely. Simple and easy to do yourself which is a triumph in itself.
The Results: In bright lights it looks red in dim lighting it looks dark brown. All in all though considering my hair condition before using this product i am really happy with the results.
My hair looks so much shinier and feels lovely. Although i thought the change was subtle nearly everyone has noticed and commented on how good it looks :)
I really rate this as probably the best home colouring that i have tried so far and at £9.99 (but on offer in boots for just £7.99) then i think its a bargain.
Do you girls home colour or do you like to leave it to a salon???
PS it covers grey/white hairs like a dream. Not that i have any ( cough cough )
xx
Looks lovely!

ReplyDeleteKay eh tea ei me too im going to be trying out some new conditioners that are meant to help keep the colour etc so that will be interesting too as i know red is apparenly the quickest colour to fade.
Let me know if you try the colour x
Great review, your hair looks so lovely and shiny!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to dye my hair for ages now... I've never done it before though so I'm terrified it'll go wrong or the colour won't suit me!
xx
Steph
Hi Steph. I think if you have not coloured it before then maybe just try a colour thats a couple of shades different to your natural colour. That way the change wont be too drastic to start with or maybe a semi perminent?
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting hun xx

ReplyDeleteLooks gorgeous! I love newly dyed hair because it's just so shiny hehe
ReplyDeleteIt looks great on you, you can definitely see the red tones which really suits you! I've used the John Frieda foam too and was really impressed with how easy it was to use - I thought it rinsed away much quicker than normal hair dye in the shower too. x
ReplyDeleteWow your hair does look shiny!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of foam hair colours because it makes dying your hair so much easier - but have found the colour doesn't stay on as long... It's a good product for beginners though xx

ReplyDeleteHave your ever tried demi-permanent haircolors? I just tried is for the first time today and reviewed it in my blog! I'd recommend it to you to keep up with that color - I have a similar shade :)
oh wow I LOVE it!! Such a beautiful colour. I always look at those shades and shy away because I think they’re going to be blindingly bright.
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks gorgeous! I told you via twitter how much I love the John Frieda foam, SO SO SO much easier.
Plus I know this is not really important in the great scheme of things but the gloves etc were so nice, it really feels worth the money!
Thanks everyone.
