MAC Sandy B Lipstick & Lush buys !

Hello there pretty ladies, i just wanted to show you a quick look at a few things i purchased the other day. I haven't been shopping for a while as I've been trying to be good. It was a little treat really for valentines. After all we all need a little retail therapy once in a while.

If you remember my post on lipglosses last week here then you will notice a distinct lack of peach shades which follows through with my usual lipstick choices too. Sooo i went on the search for a pretty peach lippy. After chatting to a few of you on twitter I decided to go for Sandy B and I'm glad i did:


I love the way it has a soft gold sheen to it. Its very different to my usual colours that i go for but that was the point. I think I've found another favourite for summer as i bet it looks great with a tan.

My lips are quite pigmented so i added a little foundation as a base before application. I'm so pleased with this shade yet it's one I've heard so little about.


Then i went to one of my favourite shops LUSH. I had to get a bottle of it's raining men before they sold out. I do like Honey i washed the kids soap but this for me personally is a lot lot nicer. Its a dreamy, creamy sweet honey fragrance which i have stashed away for a rainy day.


I wasn't planning on buying this cute blue gingerbread man ballistic named The Ex Factor but when i was browsing i walked past a large swarm of these and the smell just coaxed me in. I am a sucker for vanilla and so i cant wait to try this one out.


I also picked up a magic mushroom bubble bar. All the bubble bars last me an eternity as i have a jacuzzi bath so i use a tiny chunk at a time and the bath is always literally overflowing with frothy fat bubbles.
Strawberry and cream scented with again a distinct hint of vanilla makes this an irresistible bath time treat.


Last but not least i chose the Happy Blooming Bath Melt. I've not tried this before and i do like a nice moisturising skin lavishing melt. Bath times are going to be fun this week.The best bit about it is it breaks into 3 pieces for triple tub bathing.


On the way home we stopped off at matalan and i spotted this funky ring for just £6. I love angel wings and thought this was quite unusual. 


So that's my little lot although i did buy a few little bits again today ( ssshhh ) Separate post needed for that one.

I was just wondering if you love a particular makeup item which you never hear people talk about either?

    Love this post, everything is lush! the mac lippie looks a really similar shade to boots 17 - mirror shine on in Beehive which i absolutely love!

    ooh i just bought a new MAC lipstick but now I really want this one! Why are they so expensive?!
    Lovely colour!
    I have It's Raining Men and I don't think it smells nice AT ALL! I'm so disappointed because i actually love Honey I washed... I could eat it.

    Kay eh tea ei it just goes to show how we all like different things. I much prefer its raining men over honey i washed the kids soap. Although saying that ive only sniffed the bottle and not actually used it yet so hope my opinion doesnt change once ive tried it xx

    This is a really pretty shade, very unusual!
    I think it's a shame that some MAC lipsticks are so underrated compared to the ones that get all the blog coverage, we need to hear about little gems like this more often!

    Beautiful lipstick, the sort of thing you'd wear on a sunny holiday :) I love Kitten eyeshadow from Stila, but Stilas hard to find in the Uk now so maybe thats why its never mentioned.

    I am soooo jealous of your jacuzzi bath! One day I will have one lol! Seriously though I've tried all that lush stuff and its great. Happy Blooming is the only thing in store which smells of cherries which is nice. Moisturising as well :)

    I love these sort of haul posts, and a great selection here. But I can't cope with Lush at all, I have to hold my breath when I go past the shop and I tried Honey I shrunk the kids and hated it, but typically because I didn't like it, it hung around for hours...why is that?? Anyway great and interesting post. Thankyou. Jan x

    Really nice lipstick, I am surprised I have never seen it or heard of it. It would be way too light for me anyhow!

    I am with BeautyDiarist- Lush has no interest for me whatsoever, I don't like the smell, or the packaging or the products, so that is one I never get excited about..?

    The ring is lovely:)
