The search for the Golden Glow with Hydration Gold.

Hi there ladies, hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. I have been eating, drinking, socialising with friends and watching fireworks. All that sparkle has let me to review the Hydration Gold Anti-Ageing & Hydrating recovery creme with gold powder.

I was intrigued when asked to review this product as I'd not heard of this range before and anything which promises anti aging effects with added luminosity definitely ticks a lot of the boxes for me.

The cream itself is in a pump action bottle and one pump is plenty for my skin. As you can see it is a bright shimmery gold colour. The product benefits from 23 carat gold powder, hyaluronic acid together with vitamins and minerals to give the skin a subtle luxurious golden shimmer.

Here you can capture the pretty golden sheen it gives to the skin.

Here i have applied a little on my cheeks over makeup for that glowy healthy look.

My thoughts:
The product itself screams out luxury. The real gold powder, the packaging, the uniqueness ( if that's a word )
I would buy this product for a treat or for a present for the girl who has everything. There is something quite decedent about apply a product like this which makes it something to consider.

I found it worked best for me on top of a moisturiser at night. My skin looked beautiful and healthy in the mornings after using this, my skin looked brighter and smoother with a lovely glow.
On my skin it was a bit too much in the day to use all over but ideal to use over cheekbones, inner corners of the eyes etc to brighten and add a subtle shimmer.
This product is the perfect pick me up for winter available from Transformulas priced at £45
What pick me up product do you reach for when you need a boost.

  5. I grrr so much at these beautiful gleamy products because they really were not around 30 *coughs* years ago or at least if they were it was full on glitter that you would put on your Christmas cards suspended in some sort of hair gel/glue. Products have come on so much in the intervening years. Thankyou for the post and pics Jan x

  7. Great review! I'd never really think of picking up a product like this in the middle of autumn but it looks totally gorgeous - very pretty and natural. I guess it would be dead handy to brighten up my face over winter... Not exactly cheap though!! :)
