Sleek Good Girl Look !

Hi there my beautiful  girlies, this morning i decided to go totally opposite to the Halloween theme and try out my Good Girl Palette that i purchased this week from Superdrug.
I have most of Sleek's palettes and have always been super impressed by the pigmentation, variety of colours and value for money.
My 2 most recent purchases:

 Good girl Palette:

 Bad Girl Palette:

As a lover of the smokey eyes i was immediately drawn to the Bad girl palette but the Good girl palette was something that i didn't really have in my collection as I'm not a pink eyeshadow kind of girl but i thought it was so pretty i got it anyway lol.

I tried it out this morning and have to say i love the look i created with it. This palette is a lot more wearable and versatile than i first thought.

I used from the Good Girl Palette:

Meringue as a wash of colour on my eyes, some black eyeliner and mascara.
Meringue & candyfloss on my cheeks with a duo fibre brush
Strawberry Sorbet on the lips with clear gloss over the top.

You can really use these colours as eye shadows, blushers, lip products and so this palette will be getting used a lot more than first impressions would suggest.
I will of course be using the bad girl very soon but once again Sleek have hit the Jackpot with this gorgeous Palette. xx

Wedding Makeup photo's !

Hi there, ladies, i know some of you know that i recently did a wedding for a friend of mine and have been eagerly awaiting some photos and this morning i had an e mail with some of the photos from the big day.
I loved doing the makeup for this wedding and think that everyone looked beautiful.
Here's a little look at some of the shots :

The beginning of the session with a little bit of airbrushing for the foundation. ( i use the temptu system )

The beautiful bride

All the bridesmaids. There were lots of tears and lots of touch ups as everyone was very emotional. I don't think i have worked at one wedding yet when i haven't had to fight back the tears. I'm too emotional for my own good sometimes.

I love how natural everyone looks and the claret colour of Dawn's dress was a stunning contrast to the ivory of the bridesmaids.

Hope you enjoyed this little peak of one of my favourite weddings that i have worked on xx

Elle's Spell is Magical !

I just couldn't wait to test out this polish from Barielle in Elle's Spell. The formula just glided on effortlously and the colour is beautiful. I just wish my camera had picked up the gorgeous multi dimentional glitter which is so glitzy.
This is just 2 coats of polish as i was in a bit of a rush.

This will be a sure favourite and priced quite competitively at £8 from Barielle

Hi there ladies, I have had a bit of a hectic week so sadly not been able to do much blogging. I have been having a bit of painting done to the house so have had to try and keep out the house most of the day as my 2 year old has taken a great interest in tubs of paint.

Party outfit & makeup !

So girlies, it was a bit of a mad party last night. I didn't have time before i went out to take a photo of my outfit so excuse the toilet cubicle shots. I don't go out very often so it was the perfect opportunity to get glammed up and wear my new leopard print dress.
It was a fab night.

Look at the birthday cake it was choc fudge inside. My husband is a painter and decorator and races bikes so they put a model of him on a bike in his work overalls with a paintbrush in his hand.
Hope you all had a fab weekend and now I'm going to put my feet up and chill xx

Wish List & Cut Backs !

Afternoon my Fabulous Followers! Well Friday is upon us and time for the weekend fun to begin. I am super excited as it's my husbands 40th party tomorrow and i can't wait.
Anyway today's blog post is about my little Wish List and cutting back. I'm sure that most of us have to cut back on our spending at some point and for me the time has come. After all i don't really need everything that was on my huge wish list before and so it's time to prioritise what i really really want. So here go's:

  • YSL false lash effect
  • Nars foundation Sheer Glow
  • Sleek powder pink pout polish
  • Sleek rose gold blusher
  • Shu Uemuera eyelash curlers
  • YSL ROUGE VOLUPTE NUDE BEIGE

I think this is quite realistic and my plan is to stick to this list as much as possible. I know there will be the odd slip and any limited products might slip in too.
My moto for the next few months is buy less wear more. Gok wan would be proud. I have so many beautiful products that i am not using nearly enough.

On a plus note my xen tan arrived today for me to review and as this has been on wish list for quite a while i am quite giddy at the prospect of trying it out.

Hope you all have a great weekend and if i am quiet over the next few days it's because I'm still drunk or nursing a hangover.Mmmwaaaah.

NYX Runway palette Supermodel !

I have had this palette for a while now, its one i just don't seem to get round to using though. I love the colours and they are nicely pigmented. I know the brand is not widely available here but you can get nyx of ebay and the prices are great so its worth paying for the postage.

The swatches are on bare skin so you can see how nice they are. I love the last 2 colours they are both so vibrant and all the shades blend easily.

This is the look i created using the Supermodel palette. I should of added some false lashes as my feeble lashes don't do the look any justice.
Have you girls tried any of the NYX palettes? I do have another one in more neutral shades but since buying the Naked palette i haven't used it.

Note to self: Start using all these fab colours and stop playing it safe.
Wrap up warm girlies it's going to be a bit chilly today xxx

Liz Earle Daily Eye Repair !

Well ladies, today i wanted to do a little review of Liz Earle Daily Eye Repair Cream.
I am finding that now I've hit 35 that i really need a little bit of help in keeping those pesky wrinkles away and something to help with puffiness and dark circles too.
I have been using this product for over a month now so feel that i can give a realistic review for this fab little cream.

so lets start with the packaging. As always,  Liz Earle products come packed really beautifully wrapped in tissue paper which i love. There is something really decedent about ripping off the paper to see whats hidden inside.

The product comes boxed and looks elegant and natural.

I was a little disappointed that the tube was only 10ml as most creams i have used in the past have been 15ml so on first impressions i though that id use it up too quickly.

Now the Web site states:
This light, triple action cream helps to visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines around the eyes, mouth and forehead. Light-reflective particles conceal and help brighten dark under-eye shadows while SPF10 mineral sunscreen protects against UV light.

Well i have to say that i really like the results i am seeing. I have no puffiness on my eyes at all and the dark circles look so much better although there are some days when they look better than others. My eye area feels nice and supple and the cream sinks in easily without leaving any stickiness or residue.

I love the fact that the product has an SPF to help protect this sensitive area and my concerns about the tube size were unfounded as the tube looks really full still even though Ive used it everyday for a month.
My makeup applies nice and smoothly around the eyes when i use this too and Ive found that Ive needed less concealer. Result.

So Liz Earle does it again. A beautiful eye cream which retails at just £13 available from Liz Earle

To top it all off Liz Earle have a great offer on their website at the moment so if you buy the 3 daily essentials you can get a Daily Eye Repair FREE.
Have you girls tried this product before? I am turning into a Liz Earle Junkie at the moment. See HERE for my Before & After photos from using the Daily Essentials if you missed it. xxx

Vamping it up in RED !

I have to say that i have always had a soft spot for Red lipstick. I think Red was the 1st colour lipstick i ever wore as my mum wore it all the time so when i was playing dress up as a little girl i would smudge a big stripe of lippy on and pout in the mirror ha. That coupled with my mums high heels i would try and walk like a lady and sometimes sing into the hairbrush thinking i looked like a diva.

Anyway today I'm pretty much the same. I love high heels, the higher the better and i still have a love for red lipstick. The brighter and more intense the better.
so here's how i wore it yesterday. I was only going shopping but hey who cares:

I am wearing Estee Lauder lipstick in Pure Colour Red Hot.

I love this lipstick it's so moisturising and creamy and it lasts really well on the lips even with eating and drinking.
I added some wispy false lashes and kept the eyes simple with MAC naked lunch all over the lid and a touch of satin taupe in the crease line. Clinique liquid liner in black on the top.

I kept my outfit casual because as much as i love my heels, shopping needs comfy shoes and it was cold so uggs win the battle for comfort I'm afraid.

This last shot is a little blurry but i still love it as it captures my little man laughing with me.

I have to say though my husband and my friend did look at me a little strange when they saw me wearing this lip colour although nether of them said anything.
What is your view on red lips Yay or Nay?
