Tonight i decided on a whim to have a go at making soap. Ive never really thought too much about making soap as for some reason i didn't think soap was overly popular these days but anyhow i wanted to play and make something girly.
I decided on a Marshmallow Fragrance to fit in with my Marshmallowblends website and here's what i came up with:
Pink & White Girly Soap Slabs
I didn't even have a proper mold or anything but i just improvised and am quite pleased with my 1st attempt. Its made with an SLS free Shea Butter soap base and as i said its fragranced with a yummy marshmallow fragrance.
So my question is:
Do you use soap? Do you think of soap as being old fashioned or do you love to use soap? Thanks so much ladies xx

ReplyDeleteThese look so pretty! Did you make the hearts too? Perfect for valentine say treats! xx
ReplyDeleteI've recently started using soap and love it :) I stocked up on soap from Lush over Christmas! I know the girls on the Lush Facebook page are crazy for it! Bars of soap come with less packaging too, which is always good :) x
ReplyDeleteI use soap from lush but only for hand washing, find it a little too drying for body washing, although because I love the smell of lush snow cakes I'll rub it on a shower poof to wash with occasionally x
ReplyDeleteThese look great :D x
ReplyDeleteThose are so so gorgeous! I rarely ever use soap, usually bottles of things. Any soaps we have are decorative but I want this it's so so adorable!

Thanks so much everyone your comments are really interesting x
ReplyDeleteAhhhh that's so pretty! If I saw those in a store I'd deffo be tempted to buy!
ReplyDeleteI was raised on liquid body washes, but since I've started to "grow up" and have to buy my own things like toothpaste and soap, I actually prefer the bar soap over the liquid body wash.
ReplyDeleteLike a couple of others mentioned, it uses less packaging. Also love it because it lasts so much longer, easier to tote around (I live out of my backpack, haha), and since there's such a growing interest in DIYer stuff it's getting easy to find bar soaps that are less harsh on skin than their commercial counterparts. In yummy scents to boot, too!
Marshmallow sounds yummy :)
Such a lovely soap, very girly and perfect for Valentines Day. And of course, i do use soap :)

ReplyDeleteI love soap, prefer it more than shower gel :) They look gorgeous btw!
ReplyDeleteI use soap, I use Dove Extra Sensitive or Simple soap. I find shower gels dry me out more than soaps. These look lovely though hun xx
ReplyDeleteWow thanks girls it seems I was wrong and a lot more people use soap than I first thought. X
ReplyDeleteWow these look amazing and I love the idea of the marshmallow scent!
ReplyDeleteThese are extremely beautiful! I am a committed shower gel user though, in my head soap is too drying, even though I know if its chock full of shea butter it wont be, its a head thing!
ReplyDeleteOMFG they look amazing! I'm more of a shower gel girl but I look at the purchase of a lovely bar of soap as a treat for me, and especially for gifts x
