Rimmel Lasting Foundation 25hrs Rave Review

Hi there lovelies, i know a few of you have already tried this foundation out, but for those of you who haven't i wanted to do a quick review as I'm really impressed.

I read so many mixed reviews on this foundation. Some people love it some hate it. I heard it was really thick and greasy, i read some reviews on boots saying it had no coverage ???
It's on offer at boots just now for just £5 so i thought i would try it for myself.
I have seen so many adverts for this stuff plus the fact that miss jones  gave such a positive review was  reason enough for me to have a dabble.

I picked up shade 200 soft beige as i have not been wearing any fake tan lately and it actually matched my skin perfectly. The shades are a little bit hit and miss so if you are very fair you may struggle getting a colour as the lightest seems quite dark in my opinion.

DAY 1
The first time i wore it i used a really really small amount and buffed it in well with my flat top sigma brush. I applied it immediately after moisturising so the slip of the moisturiser helps blend it into my skin.

These first two photos were taken with no concealer, no powder or bronzer

I love the results. It looks so natural and feels lovely and fresh on the skin. It leaves a slightly dewy look and really covers any redness, imperfections and blends so easily. ( it helps that the colour is perfect )

The foundation lasted all day but i did find my nose area went a bit shiny after about 7 hrs which is not really a problem as such but thought I'd point it out anyway.

 DAY 2
The next day i applied the foundation in the same way but just slightly more. Nearly 1 full pump to be exact lol
I then applied my Mac Skinfinish powder with a big soft brush and applied a little ELF bronzer to warm my complexion up a bit. Again no concealer.

This time the foundation lasted from first thing in the morning till about 8pm before i noticed a shiny nose. I really love how it looks on my skin and it photographs pretty nicely too.
I nipped into boots while wearing it and my friend on the Estee Lauder counter asked me what i was wearing and was shocked when i told her :)

It is very similar to Estee Lauder Double wear and it also reminds me slightly of Revlon colourstay which i also really like except i find colourstay can be a bit cakey looking sometimes and this is not.

If you are looking for a new foundation then i would seriously give this some consideration.
Rimmel have gone up a rank in my books after trying this. This is an ideal foundation for both day wear or an evening out. I will be getting in a darker shade as well so when i wear my fake tan i can still use it. Thumbs up Rimmel.

Dupe Allert For UK Girls !

I know ive posted once already today but this morning i was having a play with the bronzer ( more of a blusher in my eyes ) that i won from the lovely people over at BeautyUK when i thought it looked very familiar so of course i had to check it out for you lovely lot.

Heres what i found :

BeautyUK Bronzer £3.29 Versus Smashbox Gossamer soft lights $30

They are so similar when applied although the BeautyUK is a bit more pigmented so i dont need to build it up as much. Bearing in mind the price difference i know which one i would certainly go for. This gives a lovely sheen to the skin and i can see myself wearing it a lot in summer.

Yaaay for BeautyUK. This is my first dupe that ive found and im feeling quite pleased with myself ha. xx

FOTD Little Post

Hi there all my fellow bloggers, today i decided to go for quite a natural look. I find myself being drawn to mineral foundation all the time and although i had my doubts when i purchased the LOREAL BARE NATURALE gentle mineral makeup i have been pleasantly surprised.
It gives decent coverage and still looks natural and lasts pretty well on. So i buffed this on with a flat head kabuki brush
The colour I'm wearing is natural beige and it matches perfectly which makes a change
I have slight yellow undertones and this is perfect for me or anyone with a slightly olive tone but fairly fair skin (if that makes sense).

I applied some false lashes which i found in my little hideaway tin. I'm not sure which make they are which is a shame as i really like these on as i think they look quite natural.

Then i added some 24/7 urban decay liner in zero and that's about it for the eyes.

My 2 favourite products for today are from the smashbox range. I don't have a lot of smashbox products but the ones i do have i really like.
So 1st is the Fusion Soft Lights Gossamer blusher this seems to brush on effortlessly and gives a lovely shimmer which never looks too much.

The 2ND is a mini gloss in the colour Bombshell which is a really natural nudey pink colour. I love this gloss but am trying to make it last as the tube is so tiny.

Do you have any smashbox products you recommend and please let me know if you like the eyelashes quite natural like this. Night Night my lovely 15 others xx
