Fabulous Face Masks !

Hello gorgeous girlies, i know that you all know i like a bit of pampering now and then and so a weekly face mask has become part of my routine. I love trying different ones to see how they rate. I thought i would show you the four that i am using at present which i like to alternate.

Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque

I love to use this mask when my skin is feeling a bit oily or when i have a breakout as it really seems to draw out the impurities and tighten up my pores.
The smell is lovely and fresh it reminds me of spearmint toothpaste ha.
The mask is quite a thick green cream which dries in about 10 minutes. Great for a quick deep cleanse.
I first saw this on someones blog in America but am pleased to see it selling in the UK too. In fact Ive just found it on Paks online shop for just £2.49. They are selling the cleanser as well which i might try and buy soon to see if its as good.
Anyone ever brought anything from there before?

Then i have my Flash Relax Mask by Monu

Flash Relax Mask £29.50

I like to use this if my skin is feeling a bit dehydrated or if I'm going out somewhere i will apply this before my makeup as its more of a gentle mask which seems to help plump up my skin and leaves it looking instantly softer, smoother and fine lines are less visible.
This applies as a clear gel and it doesn't dry so you can leave it on for a while and just relax.
Every once in a while i will apply a deep cleansing mask then pop this on for 5 minutes afterwards to put back some of the moisture into my skin and it leaves my skin feeling lovely and smooth. A kind of double wammy treat :)

This mask is full of fabulous ingredients including Aloe Vera, Vitamin C, Vitamin B5 and ginseng.

I also love my Liz Earle Deep Cleansing Mask

Liz Earle Deep Cleansing Mask 75ml £12.75

I love to use this mask when my skin is having an outbreak or feeling unbalanced. Oily and dry patches. Unfortunately this sometimes happens :(
This mask contains highly concentrated clay and manuka honey to draw out impurities and calm the skin.
Out of all the masks this is the one that i have used for the longest time. A great price for such a quality product.
I look like Ive been mud wresting after applying this mask but the results speak for themselves.

Finally is the Murad Pomegranate Exfoliating Mask

Murad Pomegranate Exfoliating Mask £23.00 6 Treatments

I use this mask when my skin is looking dull. This has the most gorgeous fresh fruity fragrance. I love how the product comes in little packets so its easy and clean to apply. This mask contains powerful antioxidants and gently exfoliates the skin removing trapped impurities.
My skin always looks instantly brighter after using this and feels lovely and soft.

Do you have a favourite mask to recommend for my next purchase and do you use a face mask at all?

SkinCare Routine & Night time rituals

Hello you lovely lot, i thought today i would do a post on my skincare products that i am using at the moment. I do chop and change my products quite a lot as im often reviewing different ranges but heres what im using at the present time.

I Keep all my daily products in this Mark Hill Bag that my friend brought me for xmas.

It fits so much in and keeps everything away from my inquisitive 3 year old.

MONU Eye Cool Gel Review !

Hello my lovelies, Today's post is a little overdue but i do like to really test out a skin care product before i write a review on it. That way i can be sure that a product works for me or does not.
Here is what Monu say about it's eye cool gel:

  • This refreshing gel instantly revives and tones tired eyes, reduces puffiness and dark circles.
  • Arnica helps to reduce undereye puffiness.
  • Vitamin C and Zinc Gluconate aids the correction of sun damage.
  • Sodium hyaluronate provides long lasting hydration.
  • Ginseng and magnesium gently relax fine muscles to smooth and lift.
  • Wheat free
  • Paraben Free

The gel itself comes in a handy pump dispenser tube and a little of this goes a long way. It is indeed very cooling and refreshing. I have had a really bad few weeks of being woken up every night and my youngest son has been poorly.

Although i have woken up with heavy eyes and dark circles i  am finding that 10 minutes after applying this my eyes feel really revived and refreshed.
I seem to have less puffiness around my eyes as well and the light texture seems to help my foundation smooth on under my eyes effortlessly. ( i apply this eye gel quite heavily and leave it for 5 minutes to absorb before applying my foundation )

If I'm honest i cant judge if the eye gel has helped with lines as i don't really have any around my eyes ( not noticeable one anyway ) but i like to think that prevention is way better than cure and the extra moisture boost this gives my eye area is bound to help prevent dehydration which can cause lines to look more pronounced.

If you don't like anything too heavy ( Like me ) and you suffer with puffiness and possibly lack of sleep then this eye cool gel is one that will tick all the boxes. Priced at £15.25 available from Monu
For those of you have not heard of Monu before then check out the website.
The products are a professional brand used in many beauty salons and spas. The ingredients are sourced to contain some of the purest, kindest natural ingredients. Take a look I'm sure you will be impressed.

Essential Skincare to beat the Chill !

Morning my lovelies, I don't know about you but the drastic change in weather has left my skin feeling a bit out of sorts.
Now usually my skin is quite hardy, slightly oily and spot prone but lately it seems drier in places, a little dehydrated ( probably the central heating ) and well just a bit dull really.

Luckily for me i was sent 2 new products to review which really seem to have hit the spot with combating these problems and providing some much needed TLC.

Introducing MONU by Susan Moleneux
Essential Cleansing Balm. RRP £35.00

This balm is just amazing. It melts upon skin contact & feels sooo luxurious. The essential oils smell heavenly and it makes cleansing my skin feel like a mini facial, something to look forward to rather than a chore.

The product contains tiny minuscule particles which have a gentle exfoliating Action but it's mild enough to use everyday.
I massage the product into my skin and remove with a warm wet muslin cloth that comes with the product. It leaves my skin feeling gorgeous, soft, clean and pampered. The best bit is it removes full on makeup so easily. No need for a separate cleanser either as there is no oily residue whatsoever which is rare for an oil based cleanser.

You can see this is a balm but it turns to a light oil as you massage it into the skin.
It's not the cheapest of cleansers but it is a fantastic product & worth every penny. Ideal if you are looking for a little pampering and extra oooomph.
Personally i will use a few times a week to make it last longer and to give my skin a bit of a boost.

The 2nd product i have been putting through it's paces is the Monu Essential Elements, with Rose, Wheatgerm & Arnica for Very Dry or Damaged skin.
Now i have to say this worried me a little when it first arrived & i read the words Very Dry Skin. After all i would never put myself in that category. Still i decided to give it a go as i said my skin has been drier than normal and if i didn't like it then I'd just not use it again.
However i was pleasantly surprised. I only used a tiny amount but my skin seemed to drink this right up.

The Texture is quite rich as you would expect but there was no sticky residue or heavy feeling with it. The smell again was beautiful. I love aromatherapy oils & so applying this was a real sensory treat in the evenings.
The product itself is packed full of great ingredients including Vitamin E, Olive oils, Rose & Sandlewood essential oils.
I applied this at bedtime and when i woke up my skin looked brighter and felt much softer. I have only been using it 3 times a week just because of my skin type but even with my limited use it has made a difference to my skin. It seems to have a calming and nurturing effect on my skin which is exactly what i was looking for at this time of year.
Ideal for those of you who are on the drier side or just want a little extra protection. RRP £26.50
