Berry Merry Xmas with Sleek Makeup!

Sleek have recently launched this gorgeous box set which is great value for money at just £10 and right on trend with its bold berry shades.

The Berry Collection

The set includes:
Cranberry Lipstick which is a deep vampy matte red shade.
Fenberry Blush which id describe as a berry plum.
Mossberry Kohl Pencil which is a deep Burgundy shade which can be used on both the eyes and lips.

Swatches from top to bottom: Eyes, Lips & Cheeks

Of course i had to try them out for myself. No Deep red lippy gets past me without a venture onto the lips

The lipstick is a stunning dark red and although its matte i didn't find it drying at all and its not one of those lipsticks that clings and emphasises every tiny line either which is a nice change. I do like matte lips but some are not particularly flattering but I'm pleased to say this one is.

For me the blusher is the stand out product of all three in this box. I am a big fan of the Sleek blushers anyway and this one is a gorgeous colour that seems to warm my complexion up without looking overly flushed or made up. You only need a tiny amount as you do with most of the Sleek blushers.

This would make a lovely stocking filler for a friend or a little pick me up treat for yourself when you are doing the Xmas shopping :)

Are you rocking the deep shades this time of year?

Korres FOTD !

Hi there ladies, i hope you are all enjoying the weekend.
I wanted to show you some of the Korres makeup that i was sent to review so i opted for a Full on red lip with a sweeping of silver grey shadow and big lashes to finish the look.

Korres Sunflower & Evening Primrose Eyeshadow shade 51 & Liquid Lipstick in Red 56

 Red 56 liquid lipstick Swatch

The liquid lipstick is a real stand out product for me. The colour is so rich and deep and the texture feels so silky, it literally glides onto the lips leaving a gorgeous glossy finish. It's a beautiful deep real red shade that i simply love.

Korres Eyeshadow RRP £12
Korres Liquid Lipstick RRP £15
Both available from Bath & unwind online here

I have a few more products to show you from korres including foundation, blusher and mascara so keep an eye open for that. Have a lovely weekend xx

FOTD 5 Min Autumn Look!

The kids are back to school, the weather's turned colder and i wanted to do a quick no fuss look which i can apply in the mornings to make me look like Ive made an effort but still natural.

5 Products 5 Mins!

I really love autumn colours, reds, greens, browns are all favourites so i look forward to all the autumn trend makeup that is usually released around this time of year.

I didn't even need any brushes either for this look.
5 Steps to my easy peasy autumn look.

1. Apply a little Liz Earle Skin Tint in beach ( This is on sale from tomorrow )
2. Dab a little NYX concealer in 03 Light under eyes and blend
3. Slick on Daniel Sandler Baby Jet Mascara for natural clump free lashes
4. Blend in Nars Penny lane blusher for some added glow
5. Dab on Estee Lauder Pure Colour Lippy in Red Hot

Estee Lauder Red Hot Lipstick & Nars Penny Lane Swatches

What are your favourite Autumn products? Mine have to be a good Red Lipstick and earthy brown shadows. xx

If at first you dont succeed!

As the saying goes if at first you don't succeed try and try again! I often use this motto when applying makeup.
Take this morning for instance i tried a purple and white eyeshadow look with deep pink lips but it just didn't suit me so i ended up applying a grey colour on top and then a bit of black in the corners of my eyes. Then i put a really pale lippy over the bright one to tone it down a bit and when I'd finished i really liked the end result.

Prestige petulant rose looked too deep so i added Barry m 101 over the top

Hair left messy with a good spray of hairspray

I thought it was quite funny that my eyeshadow seemed to go particularly well with my latest nail polish from Leighton Denny Leading Lilac. Which i really love.
Thanks so much to the lovely Jan from Beauty Diarist as she kindly sent me it :)

So my question is if it all goes wrong do you try and try again till you end up with a result that you like?

Sunday Challenge Request!

The other day Liloo requested that i do a bit of a Rock Chick look and although i am getting on a bit to be rocking this look i thought why the hell not.  I'm always up for a challenge.

So just for fun i tried to look stern and get in the zone to look like a bad assed Rock Chick ha.

Heavy eyes with Mac Blackground paint pot and a blend of dark purple & Grey

Sleek Contour palette ( I have cheekbones hidden in there somewhere )

Clinique Nude Lipstick

I have serious flashback face on these photos. I'm not that pale honestly!

Hahaha it doesn't look that bold in the photos but in real life the eyes look a lot lot darker. Hmmm think i need to play around with the settings on my camera.
I had fun doing this, it makes a nice change to do something a bit tongue in cheek. Any other requests just let me know and check out the lovely blogger who asked for this look here xx
