Yes To Hair products !

Today's post is a review on a shampoo & Conditioner from the Yes To Cucumber Range.

I have been trying out a few of the Yes to products but this is the first product that is Yes to Cucumbers so i was interested to see how a shampoo /conditioner like this would smell. It does smell of cucumbers, but in a really fresh and invigorating way. The smell is so hard to describe. If i could give an award for the freshest smelling shampoo it would have to go to these.

Yes to Cucumbers Shampoo/Conditioner £8.99 500ml Each

The Yes to Cucumbers shampoo is created for colour treated hair. Packed full of ingredients like Centaurea Extract ( a botanical extract ) to help protect hair from light and lock in colour.
Organic Cucumbers for nourishment and Aloe Vera the Magical plant that refreshes, hydrates and gives hair amazing shine.

Yes to Cucumbers conditioner is again aimed at colour treated hair with Organic Cucumbers. Centaurea Extract and Green Tea for protection and shine

Did they Work for me:

All in all i really love the way the two products worked on my hair. I was left with shiny glossy locks and i do think they helped keep my colour looking bright which is hard work when you have coloured red hair.

The smell is a bit unusual i can't decide if i like it or not. It's really really fresh smelling and totally different to any other shampoo I've tried. Saying that the smell doesn't linger on the hair once its dry so its not really an issue for me.

My hair feels so clean after using these and i can get away with an extra day before washing my hair as it seems to get less oily for some reason at the roots.
The conditioner is light but it still has plenty of slip and detangles my hair well and makes it feel really soft.

The bottles are huge and seem to last for ages so good if you are on a budget but still want to use great products with natural and organic ingredients.

I'd love to know if anyone else has tried these before and if so what did you think?

Tommy Guns Shampoo & Conditioner

Morning my beautiful blogging friends, i am on a serious hair care mission at the moment. I'm looking for the perfect products for my hair.
On this mission i intend on trying LOTS of different products to see exactly what's out there in the giant field of Shampoo, conditioners, treatments, styling products etc.
The first combo I've been using is this little twosome:

Jasmine & Wild Nettle Shampoo & Jasmine, Wild Nettle & Sweet Almond Conditioner

Tommy Guns products are a range of salon and nature inspired products at an affordable price.
This duo is designed for thirsty, dry undernourished and coloured hair types.

These two products smell beautiful and i have really enjoyed using them in the shower. Although they are designed for dry hair i still find them both quite light and they don't weigh my hair down which is a nice change.

Overall a lovely set of products and my hair is looking unbelievably shiny. I think i will try some of the other range as the Fig & Plum shampoo & Conditioner for frizzy hair sounds Delicious.
Priced at £4.99 each they are a really good price too.

Shiny Hair :)

Available from John Lewis, Waitrose and Ocado. I like the fact that you can add these in your trolley when at the supermarket. There's nothing like a little beauty treat to brighten up a weekly shop.
Anyone else tried this range before and if so what do you think?

I'm going Bananas !!!

OK so sorry about the cheesy title but i couldn't resist. I've recently fallen back in love with one of my oldest favourite products. Yes you've guessed it The Body Shop Banana Conditioner.
I was so so excited when i found out that the bodyshop had brought back the Banana Conditioner. Ok so its not exactly the same but as near as the original will ever get.
I just adore it. The smell is heavenly, a sweet, natural banana with a touch of vanilla is how i would describe it. As soon as i open the bottle and enhale it brings back floods of memories as it was the conditioner i wore most of my teenage life.
If i just use a small amount after my shampoo and then rinse it works pretty much like all conditioners leaving my hair pretty soft and a little bit shiny but for the best results  i like to use this as a treatment so i shampoo my hair and rinse then slap a big handful onto my hair and massage it in well. Then i wrap a nice warm towel around my head and leave it for about an hr. When i rinse it off my hair is so so soft and shiny and the scent lingers in my hair for ages.
The price is average at £3.99  and because i only use it about once a week it lasts pretty well.
I really hope that the body shop keep this as a permanent line as theres nothing quite like it in my opinion.
What are your favourites from the body shop ???
