Clarins Skin Illusion Foundation! (Rave Review )

Hi there ladies, i thought I'd do a quick review on the Clarins Skin Illusion Foundation which i have in the shade Honey. I knew i had to get my hands on this after reading a rave review over at Jo from Beautylicious love  and it has turned out to be Amazing.

 I'm not going to give you all the bumf about what Clarins say about this foundation but cut to the chase and tell you how i found it.

Gorgeous with a capital G. This foundation is just beautiful, it applies so easily, blends effortlessly, looks natural but covers any imperfections, it leaves a lovely glowy healthy look to my skin. It doesn't settle in the lines, it doesn't look mask like, it feel super light on the skin it really is fabulous.

My only little problem is that after about 8 hrs it starts to look a bit too shiny. That is more than likely because i have an oily t zone. I just pop a bit of powder on and the problems sorted.
 It does however make me feel that if you have an oily skin then maybe this wouldn't be right for you. but anybody that likes a glow, anybody with a few lines or slightly dry skin would love this.

I find that at 36 its harder to find the right foundation. If you read my collection post you will see I've tried quite a few. This is up there in my top 5. I apply this with my flat sigma brush and it looks flawless. I've also applied it with my fingers and it still looks just as nice. The SPF 10 is a nice added bonus and it smells gorgeous too.

Foundation Collection !

I thought I'd show you a peak of my foundation collection. I have 16 different ones at the moment which is a bit excessive but i do actually use them all. I've never been a foundation snob and I'm happy to try any foundation out before making judgment.

Foundations

I tend to wear these next 5 if i'm wanting a fuller coverage.

 Rimmel 25hr, Clinique Dewy Smooth, Estee Lauder Doublewear in 2 different shades, Clinique repairware

The next 6 i wear if i want moderate coverage

Clinique even better, revlon colourstay, clarins skin illusion, chanel pro lumiere, revlon photo ready, stila illuminating foundation

These 4 i tend to wear when i want a natural look

Mac Face & Body, Clinique gentle light in 2 shades, airbase



This stick foundation is really old and discontinued from clinique. Its a few shades darker and i use it for contouring purposes. I cant bear to get rid of it as its still creamy and i cant buy it again :(

My latest foundation is the clarins illusion and i love it. A review coming very soon on this one

Unfortunately i am running out of room as you can see they are all kind of thrown in this drawer with concealers, powders and highlighters. Eeeek i hate disorganisation.

One for my Fair Skinned Beauties !

I received a press release today aimed at all you porcelain beauties out there and wanted to give you a quick heads up.

Lush have released another colour supplement in the range which is specially designed with redheads and fair complexions in mind. 

Jackie Oates £7.50

The base consists of whole oats, honey, shea butter and lanolin to hydrate, calm and soothe sensitive skins. You can mix this with a moisturiser for more of a sheer colour or on its own as a foundation or concealer.
I have not tried any of the colour supplements yet but thought I'd share this as i know there is a real gap in the market for fair skinned gals who want a bit of cover at a decent price and knowing LUSH it will be worth giving this one a go.

I have to say i think really pale skin looks so beautiful and i hate to see naturally light skinned girls wearing orange foundation. But there is still a lack of light shades available in the majority of middle market makeup ranges.
