October Favourites!

Hello people! Sometimes i struggle with monthly favourites, in fact most months i find that i have too many products that i like or that nothing seems to have wowed me enough to call a favourite.
This month it was easy to pick 7 must have products for me as each one is pretty amazing, so here we go:

October Favourite Picks!

 Skincare saviours!

My skin has been really playing me up lately. I had purchased the no7 hot cloth cleanser after reading a lot of reviews from other blogs. Lots of people comparing it to Liz Earle but for me it seriously did not work. It left me spotty and dull. (Not a good look)

Luckily this trio of products has helped create a huge turnaround in a very short space of time in using them :)

Savar Essential Cleansing Lotion: This cleanser is packed full of natural ingredients including New Zealand calendula extract and sweet orange extract. It smells amazing very fresh, slightly citrusy and feels rich and creamy on application.
You remove it with a hot damp cloth and it leaves skin fresh and really soft. I have noticed an immediate effect on my skin from using this its brilliant. It removes mascara as well so its perfect for me as I'm not keen on using a separate eye makeup remover. It is priced at £24 and available directly from the website

Korres Pomegranate Tonic Lotion: I have not been using this for very long but it has again had a great effect on my skin. I'm a fan of products that contain salicylic acid as this one does, it really helps minimise my breakouts. The toner smells beautiful, slightly fruity but a nice natural gentle smell and it leaves my pores looking smaller and my skin brighter. This is a new product and i can see it becoming a best seller. Priced at  £14 for 200ml it is a bargain

Yes to Tomatoes Facial Hydrating Lotion: Again another natural based product which is aimed at oily/combination skins. What surprised me most about this moisturiser is the fact it feels quite rich when you first apply it. (Most creams for oily skins are very light) but it absorbs really well and leaves my skin quite matte. It contains Organic Tomatoes,Watermelon, Camomile and Dead Sea minerals. I find it very soothing and gentle on my skin. Priced at £12.35

Make up Staples!

Sleek Brow Kit: I was sent this kit for review purposes and i have used it everyday since. It's such a cute kit that has everything in it to keep brows tidy and groomed, the shade light which i have is perfect for filling in gaps without looking overly made up and the tweezers and tiny brush means you have everything to hand.
Its also a steal at just £7.99 available online or from Superdrug

Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage: As i said before i had been suffering with breakouts last month and a lot of late nights. This has been a godsend. I often use other concealers but this one i go back to time and time again. Brilliant for multipurpose concealing. Luckily my skin is a lot better now but I'm still using this under the eyes for covering dark circles and although its pricey it lasts amazingly well RRP £26

Avon SuperShock Mascara Black: An everyday no fail blackest of black liners that nothing else can touch in terms of depth and value for money. When you need a new liner I'd seriously think of giving this a go it's just fab. I know Avon don't always have it but check out ebay if you want to get your mitts on it

Body Treats!

Haus Of Gloi Pumpkin Butter: What can i say, the smell of this is just stunning. Described as cream glowing pumpkin, rich vanilla bean and the tiniest touch of nutmeg. Personally I'd describe it as a yummy delicious almost edible delight which i have been slathering on like mad when i want a treat.

So that's my October Favourites. If you would like to leave a link to yours below then feel free :) Have you tried any of the above products?

5 £5 or less Bargain Beauty Buys Part 2

Seen as part 1 went down so well i thought I'd do a part 2 of Bargain Beauty Buys. After all we all love a bargain & at less than £5 these treats are affordable for every budget.

The first item on my list was spotted over at my gorgeous friend Miss Jones blog
Found at Bodycare is this dupe for Benefit high beam. This little pot of shimmery loveliness costs just £1.99 opposed to the Benefit one at around £18.50 so a complete bargain.

2nd on my list is a treat for the hair. This intensive deep repair mask is just £2.95 from fragrance direct
I read a few great reviews on this and thought id give it a go. It smells gorgeous and using it once a week as a treatment leaves my hair feeling super soft and nourished. This works just as well as many other far more expensive treatments. Worth a go if you have dry ends and need a bit of TLC.

BARGAIN ALERT ! Waterproof eyeliner. This one i am super excited to tell you about as this is an unbelievable find. I ordered this off ebay. Not expecting a lot as it cost just £1.27 yes unbelievable right? Anyway it is an amazing cream eyeliner. It's the blackest of blacks its the most smooth liner Ive ever come across and it doesn't budge once its on. I even use it on my waterline with no irritation or anything. Although obviously this is done at your own risk.

Swatches: Left is Avon supershock which people rave about how dark the colour is. On the right is this which is darker still :)
Eyeliner as seen in the below photo found here

3rd on my bargain finds is this little spray perfume from AVON. I paid £2.50 for this. Its a gorgeous blend of Vanilla and juicy berries and it smells divine. Its a small size so fits perfectly in your bag for a night out. I've had loads of compliments when i wear this.

Last but not least is this pure coconut body oil which i got from savers for about £2. It smells absolutely gorgeous and leaves my skin really moisturised and silky and smelling sweet. I like to use an oil on my legs when I'm wearing fake tan as the sheen is quite flattering. If you don't have a savers you can get this online from Amazon for £2.20 here

That's it for part 2. Hope you like my bargain finds this time and if you see something you end up buying let me know what you think? Have a great weekend xx

Battle of the Blackest!

When you think how many black eyeliners there are on the market its unsurprising that some of them can let us down a bit in terms of colour payoff and lasting ability. I'm not talking about about liquids or gels but a good black eyeliner pencil is probably many a girls best friend, so i thought I'd show you my favourites.

My 5 Faves

Swatches Top: Avon Supershock £6
                2nd: Barry M Intense eyeliner Black £3.99
Middle: Urban Decay 24/7 Zero £13.00
Gosh: Velvet Touch liner black ink £4.49
Bottom: Prestige Total intensity Deepest Black £5.49

Avon Supershock is my latest purchase and it hasn't let me down. Beautiful rich deep black which is so easy to apply and even lasts well on the waterline. At just £6 it is a bargain and i really do prefer it over my Urban Decay 24/7 liner.

Long Term Love Affair is with Prestige Intensity. The bottom swatch. This is the Blackest out of all 5 liners. Perfect for a really dramatic look. It also lasts like crazy. Once its on it doesn't move. I even find it to be waterproof so perfect for holidays. Again a bargain price at just £5.49

Do you have a favourite black eyeliner? Do you stick to the same brand or are you always searching for the perfect one ???
