Nanoblur the pro's & Con's with Before & After Pics!

I asked if anyone would be interested on a review of the new Hyped up Nanoblur product which has been hitting the beauty columns with a massive conflict of people who love the stuff and frankly others that are slating it.

So after quite a bit of trial and error i put together this little post of my findings.

For anyone who hasn't heard of Nanoblur before: It has been described as a product which will make you look up to 10 years younger. It is an optical cream which erases the signs of ageing such as lines, crows feet and large pores within seconds. 

I am 36 and although i don't have a problem with the lines that i do have i would love to use something that would deliver the results that this product promises.

 My skin type is fairly normal with an oily t zone with large pores especially on my nose area oh and a tendancy to breakouts (Lucky me)

Application of this product can be tricky to master at first. I have to admit that when i tried it for the first few times i just didn't like it at all. Certain foundations it works great with but certain foundations i found simply impossible to apply without it looking really patchy.

Instructions say to apply after foundation  which sometimes seemed to lift the foundation off and leave a sort of white patch where it was applied (Not a good look)
Saying that though once i got it right i loved the effect and it has to be said that it really does make an immediate noticeable difference to lines and pores. Without a doubt.

I just want to show you the effect of dabbing the nano blur onto my forehead lines with a brush which in this photo is applied ion top of my Liz Earle Skin tint.

The lines are a lot less visible and the forehead looks so much more smoother. This lasts for about 5 hrs on myself as well which is pretty good going. 

Another way i have found which really works well is to mix 50/50 of my usual primer (GOSH) with the nanoblur and apply it as a primer all over. Leave it for about 5 minutes and then using a brush apply my foundation.

Doing it that way doesn't seem as effective on my lines but it makes my skin feel silky smooth and my nose area almost pore free which is amazing.

Again different foundations give different effects. The nanoblur is very mattifying so Ive found a glowy type foundation works better on top of it something like revlon photo ready/ clinique dewy smooth that type of thing.

To sum things up this is an amazing product that might not make people look 10 years younger but really makes skin look smoother, pores tighter and  lines a lot finer. 

If you already have this and think its not for you then try again because the results are worth the effort and if you know anyone who doesn't wear foundation then its a perfect product for them too.

Enrapture Extremity Heated Rollers!

Hello lovely ladies!
I'm sure a lot of you will have heard of Enrapture hair tools already. The company already have a huge fan base and quite rightly so. I tried out the Totem Styler a while back and loved it, you can see the review here if you fancy a little nosey.

Anyway luckily for me i was sent the Extremity Rollers to try out as well. Now i have to say that i love volume and big curls are much more my thing than tight curls and that is exactly what this product created (Happy Smiles)

These Rollers are a dream to use, they heat up and are ready to use within two minutes and are held by the simple butterfly clips. They come in two sizes of rollers Big and Bigger and are really fast to use. I don't have a lot of time in the mornings but i can literally pop about 8 of the bigger rollers in my hair, finish my makeup take them out and my hair is done.

I could go on and on about the science behind these rollers and the beautiful packaging but instead i will say that they are the easiest styling tool I've used in a long time. They create the perfect big volumed curls and the volume lasts all day long with nothing but a spritz of hairspray.

I am serious loving these right now. So much so that i threw my old rollers away as these do a much better job in a far quicker time.

Sleek Pout Paints!

After the response i had at Halloween over my lipstick i thought I'd do a quick post on the Pout Paints that i used. to create a rather unique and bright purple as displayed here:

 The Sleek Pot Paints are such vivid colours with great pigmentation, very similar to the OCC lip tars but at a much cheaper price. Luckily for me Superdrug had 342 on all cosmetics when i got these so the three cost under £10

They are extremely long lasting, i topped up once during the whole evening which included eating and drinking. You only use a small amount as they are so pigmented that they will last for ages.

 I love mixing the colours to create lots of different shades.

As you can see its amazing how many different shades that you can make with just those 3 colours. I really want to try some of the other Pout Paints now. Admittedly they are not the most wearable of colours but great when you want something a bit different. Available online and at most Superdrug stores. Hello people! Sometimes i struggle with monthly favourites, in fact most months i find that i have too many products that i like or that nothing seems to have wowed me enough to call a favourite.

This month it was easy to pick 7 must have products for me as each one is pretty amazing, so here we go:

 Skincare saviours!

 My skin has been really playing me up lately. I had purchased the no7 hot cloth cleanser after reading a lot of reviews from other blogs. Lots of people comparing it to Liz Earle but for me it seriously did not work. It left me spotty and dull. (Not a good look)

Luckily this trio of products has helped create a huge turnaround in a very short space of time in using them :)

Savar Essential Cleansing Lotion: This cleanser is packed full of natural ingredients including New Zealand calendula extract and sweet orange extract. It smells amazing very fresh, slightly citrusy and feels rich and creamy on application.

You remove it with a hot damp cloth and it leaves skin fresh and really soft. I have noticed an immediate effect on my skin from using this its brilliant. It removes mascara as well so its perfect for me as I'm not keen on using a separate eye makeup remover. It is priced at £24 and available directly from the website 

Korres Pomegranate Tonic Lotion: I have not been using this for very long but it has again had a great effect on my skin. I'm a fan of products that contain salicylic acid as this one does, it really helps minimise my breakouts. The toner smells beautiful, slightly fruity but a nice natural gentle smell and it leaves my pores looking smaller and my skin brighter. This is a new product and i can see it becoming a best seller. Priced at  £14 for 200ml it is a bargain

Yes to Tomatoes Facial Hydrating Lotion: Again another natural based product which is aimed at oily/combination skins. What surprised me most about this moisturiser is the fact it feels quite rich when you first apply it. (Most creams for oily skins are very light) but it absorbs really well and leaves my skin quite matte. It contains Organic Tomatoes,Watermelon, Camomile and Dead Sea minerals. I find it very soothing and gentle on my skin. Priced at £12.35

Make up Staples!

Sleek Brow Kit: I was sent this kit for review purposes and i have used it everyday since. It's such a cute kit that has everything in it to keep brows tidy and groomed, the shade light which i have is perfect for filling in gaps without looking overly made up and the tweezers and tiny brush means you have everything to hand.

Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage: As i said before i had been suffering with breakouts last month and a lot of late nights. This has been a godsend. I often use other concealers but this one i go back to time and time again. Brilliant for multipurpose concealing. Luckily my skin is a lot better now but I'm still using this under the eyes for covering dark circles and although its pricey it lasts amazingly well RRP £26

Avon SuperShock Mascara Black: An everyday no fail blackest of black liners that nothing else can touch in terms of depth and value for money. When you need a new liner I'd seriously think of giving this a go it's just fab. I know Avon don't always have it but check out ebay if you want to get your mitts on it

Body Treats!

Haus Of Gloi Pumpkin Butter: What can i say, the smell of this is just stunning. Described as cream glowing pumpkin, rich vanilla bean and the tiniest touch of nutmeg. Personally I'd describe it as a yummy delicious almost edible delight which i have been slathering on like mad when i want a treat.
