5 Minute 5 product summer face !

Good morning my lovelies, what a gorgeous day it is here in sunny Barnsley today. I thought id show you my really quick and easy summer Mk up look that literally takes me 5 minutes and I'm out the door.

Great for a natural look and especially great when it means you can set your alarm 20 Min's later than usual.

 Products used

1: First aid Beauty Face Cream 5 in 1: This is brilliant as it moisturises without being heavy and contains factor 30 SPF so ideal for a sunny day. This gives my skin a lovely healthy glow.

2: Prestige Mineral foundation: I love to wear mineral powder in the summer rather than a liquid foundation. I find a light dusting of this one just evens out my skin tone but looks almost makeup free. It stops my skin looking too shiny and feels virtually weightless.

3: My favourite bronzer as seen in the cheapest bronzer on the block post. Honolulu by W7. A sweeping of this on my cheeks, forehead, nose and jaw makes me look sunkissed and because its nice and matte doesn't scream fake bronzer like some do.

4. Julie Hewett Cheekie in the shade peachy: I used this as a lip stain today which is great as it lasts really well and keeps my lips nice and soft. I also patted a tiny amount onto the apples of my cheeks to brighten my face a little bit.

5. Dior Mascara: A quick coat of mascara is all i used on my eyes as i wanted to keep the look fresh and simple and most of all quick.

I love to have lots of time to get ready but on days when i don't then certain products really save the day. I have not bothered with concealer, eyeliner, eyeshadow, highlighter etc.

As the weather is lovely and warm i decided to put on my simple black cotton summer dress. My tan is thanks to Beautylab on my body and st tropez on my face. I applied it a few days ago so its starting to fade a little.

Do you girls have a fail safe 5 min make up routine and what are your summer essentials ?

Beauty UK Polish in Jade !

Just a quick post today to show you the Beauty UK nail polish in Jade. Its such a pretty colour although its much more of an aqua blue/green rather than jade in my opinion.

I just happen to love this colour and ive had a few compliments today which is always nice.
I was lucky enough to win this as part of my prize a few months ago when i won a giveaway with BeautyUK but Ive only just got round to trying this one out. I think its one of those colours that looks much nicer on than in the bottle.

Priced at just £2.49 from superdrug or direct from the website here

Whilst i was looking at the website i noticed they have some rather fabulous looking other nail polishes which i am really keen to try out. Look at this gorgeous set of mini's: I really want to get this set, its perfect for holidays and summer tootsies.

Urban Girl mini polish set £4.99

Also i would love to try this shocking pink shatter polish priced at £2.99
I'm waiting for the mini's to come back into stock and then I'm going to place a little order after all £4.99 for 6 new colours is amazing value.

I've only tried 2 of the polishes before but both have been really lovely and smooth to apply with great coverage in just 2 coats and much better quality than a lot of higher priced polishes which Ive tried before.

Have you tried any of these polishes and if so what did you think ?

Stila SPF 30 Tinted moisturiser review !

Hello girlies, i am writing this post as a request from one of my lovely followers. I purchases the Stila oil free tinted moisturiser a few months ago at TK max and to be honest i haven't really used it that much.
So i dug it out this morning to try it out again.

Shade Medium 01 is the colour which i have and its a pretty good match to my NC 20/25 colouring.

The swatch here looks pretty yellow but it is quite neutral in real life

Blended swatch

The texture is quite thick for a tinted moisturiser but it blends really easily into the skin and leaves a nice glow. The coverage is really sheer as i would expect from a tinted moisturiser.
I need to use an under eye concealer and if i had any obvious blemishes then they would need covering with a separate concealer too.
Luckily for me I'm having a good skin day today.

Natural looking makeup

I applied the tinted moisturiser with a flat top brush just because i find it easier and i only used a small amount.
I think you could build this up for a bit more coverage if you wanted but for me the point of a tinted moisturiser is that natural look so i prefer to keep it looking sheer without powder etc.

If you click on the photo to enlarge you can see my freckles are quite obvious still.

The product actually lasts pretty well on my skin and it doesn't feel oily or greasy even on my unpredictable skin. I can see me wearing this a lot in the summer months as the added SPF 30 makes it an ideal choice when the weather gets warmer.
Have you tried this tinted moisturiser and if so what do you think of it?
